Leighton Park day and boarding school 11–18

You will be struck on visiting Leighton Park by the sense of calm and space which exists here. It is the ideal environment in which to think, reflect and learn.Leighton Park is a unique learning environment. Quaker values provide the foundation for the school’s ethos, creating an inclusive community where excellent relationships with staff encourage pupils to achieve. Boarders and day pupils enjoy a rich and full timetable of academic study and activities. Boys and girls learn and work together, growing into confident, independent thinkers.
Our students display a maturity which is distinctive because they are treated with respect and encouraged to develop their independence. They experience a purposeful academic environment, but have enormous fun, and are prepared for life beyond school through a curriculum and approach to teaching and learning which acknowledges that the World is changing rapidly.
The job of a school is to develop the values, positivity, understanding and awareness which will equip our young people for the often unknown adventures that lie ahead.
The school community of approximately 480 pupils, is made up of  approximately 70% day pupils, 30% full boarders. The five houses, which provide the heart of the pastoral care, are the base for both boarding and day pupils, who mix easily together.
