One of the great strengths of Bilton Grange is the breadth of schools to which our children go on to. Preparing our children to succeed at Common Entrance, and to relish the challenges at Senior School, is a major part of all that we do. Equally, advising families on exactly the right school, taking into account the strengths and talents of the child, family logistics and preferences is part of the bespoke service we offer all families, however familiar they may be with the often opaque entrance procedures involved in moving on to Senior School.

Girls Section Matches-1

Every two years we hold our popular Senior Schools’ Fair, which is open to current parents and parents of children registered to start at Bilton Grange in the future. This informal, enjoyable event is as well attended by parents as it is by senior school admissions tutors, who welcome the opportunity to meet BG families and discuss entry requirements. We have strong relationships with many excellent schools across the country. Whilst we are recognised as one of Rugby School’s most important feeder schools, our pupils also go on in some numbers to Oundle,Uppingham, Repton, Oakham and Princethorpe as well as a whole host of other excellent public schools includingEton, Cheltenham College and Marlborough. A small number of children leave us at the end of Year 6 to attend day independent schools or the excellent grammar schools in Rugby. Consistent yet exceptional success at scholarship level has ensured that a good number of BG pupils move on to their Senior School having been given accolades and awards, recognising the talent across the curriculum that has been developed and nurtured whilst at Bilton Grange.Aladdin Trouble 75OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Admissions

We aim to make the admissions procedure as friendly and straightforward as possible.

Following this, we suggest that you visit Bilton Grange on a normal working day.  Many families welcome the opportunity to see the School on Open Morning, when your tour guide will be one of our 6th Form (Year 8) pupils, and for those looking around Pre-Prep, a Year 3 pupil.

Subsequently, should you decide to register your child to start at Bilton Grange, there is a form to complete and a £200 registration fee payable.  Depending on the availability of places and how far in advance you register your child to start at BG, we will put your application on a waiting list, and keep you informed of the availability for the place.

Offer of a place

Once a taster day has been completed, we will usually offer a place, at which point a £500 returnable deposit is payable.  For children with families resident outside the EU, a deposit equivalent to a full term’s fees is payable on acceptance of the place.
