Years 3 to 8

In 2013, 65% of All Hallows leavers received Awards in all areas of school life – Academic, Sports, Music, Art, Subject Specific as well as All Rounder and Special Headmaster’s Awards.

All Hallows is non selective on entry and is proud of the fact that around 60% of pupils every year receive an award to a wide range of Senior Schools.

The Common Entrance examinations are used for assessing boys and girls who transfer to senior schools at the ages of 11+ and 13+.

The syllabuses are devised and regularly monitored by the Independent Schools Examinations Board, composed of representatives from the The Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference, the Girls’ Schools Association and The Independent Association of Prep Schools. The papers are set by examiners appointed by the Board, but the answers are marked by the senior school for which a candidate is entered.

All Hallows children perform very well indeed at Common Entrance. Our most recent cohort of CE candidates achieved a mean CE score of 65%, with all subject areas attaining a mean score of 60% or over. 39% of pupil papers were awarded a A grade, 73% an A or B grade and 92% an A-C grade.
