Senior Departments
We have high expectations of our pupils and this is a key element in their success. Our experienced teachers offer the right blend of encouragement and control, making sure that everyone in our small class groups achieves their potential. The most talented are accelerated and anyone struggling is given extra help and support.
Academic progress is regularly monitored by subject teachers and Heads of Department and this is complemented by support from personal House Tutors. In addition to termly grade sheets, a system of merits reinforces and rewards hard-working pupils and prizes are awarded for examination success.
After a solid grounding in all key subjects, the choice of GCSE subjects is broad and flexible. Schoolwork should be both enjoyable and challenging.
