Music Foundation Programme
DLD College, part of the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges, has agreed a programme of study with Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance to offer a pre-conservatoire music foundation course.
Why DLD College and Trinity Laban?
- • The typical class size for music foundation students will be around 12 students or less.
- • Students on the programme have unparalleled access to the full resources of a conservatoire in order to help them prepare for entry for full undergraduate study as either performers or composers.
- • Every student is provided with an individualised support package, which includes not only the various elements of formal training but also regular personal tutorial support.
- • Trinity Laban is the only conservatoire to have an Oxbridge style chapel collegiate set up to help prepare individuals wishing to undertake Oxbridge Choral or Organ scholar entrance assessments.
- • The new ‘London Live’ programme will enable DLD College and Trinity Laban foundation students to access a regular programme of pre-booked events traversing across London’s cultural offering including music, dance, theatre, and other performing and visual art events.
- • DLD College will develop students’ core knowledge of music learning within the UK through their high quality GCSE and A Level provision.
- • Students have a range of modern London accommodation options open to them in either the Borough of Islington or the Royal Borough of Greenwich
Programme Information
The programme will enable students at pre-Undergraduate level to undertake study towards AS or A Level Music or Music Technology alongside their Independent Study Programme.
Normally students will be aged 18 or above at the point of entry, but we consider applications from younger students on a case-by-case basis. For auditions, please submit a recording of your music by DVD or CD.
