The Qualification

OverviewAt the end of their programme successful students will leave with:

  • an EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Work Skills
  • Twin Certificate of Attendance & Achievement
  • [optional] Cambridge IELTS certificate

The Study Programme:

Candidates study 15 hours per week and will work towards their EDEXCEL qualification by studying a combination of modules, a number of which comprise both theoretical and practical components. For such modules an internship is essential.

Vocational Placement Options:

The course comprises two thirds classroom study at Twin and one third work placement. Twin’s professional advisors work closely with the students to source an internship placement that matches the student’s career objectives, or a vocational placement in hospitality. Twin continue to monitor attendance and students will be required to complete course work whilst on placement.

The placement component concludes with an assessment of the internship through focused tasks which is necessary and is completed in order for the EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 Work Skills Certificate to be awarded.

Students have access to all learning materials electronically through Twin e-Learning (TeL), our very own virtual learning environment. All work is submitted through TeL, allowing students to create an e-portfolio. In addition, students can practise their English language skills here, from the time of booking to three months after the end of the course.
